Hello Urban Art!

I had the privledge of having a tattoo done by Sage back in January of 1999. To this day, I still receive numerous compliments anytime someone sees it - even from those who would never consider a tattoo as "good on a girl".

I remember I had come into the shop where Sage was working at the time after he was recommended to me by a friend as the "master of black work". I knew I wanted a band around my arm, but I didn't want a tattoo that dozens of other people had picked off the wall. I explained that I didn't want the typical barbed wire etc and that I would like it to not be too harsh or rough - but since I'm not an artist, I couldn't really explain any better than that. To my amazement, Sage got out a pen and went to work. In about five minutes, he had drawn the perfect design on my arm! No need for a second draft, it was perfect.

I have four tattoos now - and the tattoo that Sage created for me is still my favorite. I was so happy to learn that he has his own shop and it's doing so well. I look forward to having a piece created for my other arm, and Sage is the only person I will call to do it!
