I'm from The Netherlands and was visiting Arizona for two months last summer when I decided
to get another tattoo; I'd already been tattooed twice, in my own country and in Dublin, Ireland.
After getting tattooed by Sam at Urban Art I have actually decided I will only be tattooed there
from now on - which will cost me a lot given I'd have to get to Arizona first, but it is so worth
the extra saving up and waiting time. Not only was the experience of getting tattooed very
pleasant (Sam was great, I was pretty nervous about the foot area but he was very reassuring
and did a great job), but it also came out so beautifully, that spending money on other tattoo
shops seems like a waste of money. Urban Art really took the time for me and my design, and it
came out absolutely perfect. The four hours went by really fast and I'd do it again in a heartbeat;
in fact, I will do it again in a heartbeat, given the tattoo faded slightly due to the location. I can't
wait to get it done again.
Most of all; I felt really at ease at Urban Art. As I told Sam at the time; the previous two tattoo
shops I had been to, had been a lot more uncomfortable for unclear reasons. I felt welcome and
relaxed at Urban Art, the atmosphere was great and everyone working there was so nice.
Sam's style is unique and my absolute favourite style; they are drawings on your body, and it is
elegant, realistic, detailed and subtle. It would be hard to find an artist here who can do the same
amazing job, and I certainly will not let anybody else darken up my tattoo. As soon as I walked into
a shop here to see how they would touch it up, they were already talking about massive changes
to the tattoo; and that's exactly what I loved about Urban Art - you are really listened to.
I was already going to come back to Arizona, because I loved it there, but I will now definitely be
coming back even if just to get tattooed at Urban Art again. Yeah, I'd fly half across the world for
that kind of quality. Tattoos are personal and permanent, after all. And I think it'd take me a long
search to find someplace as good as Urban Art.
